Casa da Cabaza hosts a few creative workshops and other activities throughout the year. Current workshops include photography, photogravure (intaglio) print-making and book-binding, organic sourdough bread-making in a tradional outdoor, wood-fired oven, and specialist horse-related clinics on balance and harmony and developing the partnership between horses and humans.
Some of the workshops are organised on-site, others in nearby locations, depending on the activity. Most workshops are organised for small groups. If you are looking for one-on-one tuition this can also be arranged. Casa da Cabaza can accomodate up to 8 people and we provide full board, drinks and meals throughout the day.
As with everything we do at Casa da Cabaza, we aim to do things well. Our facilities are excellent and workshop leaders have a wealth of experience and talent in their respective fields. The activities and the surroundings are organic and holistic. Everybody is encouraged to contribute with ideas and thoughts, as there are always things we can learn from others.
Group workshops are listed below. For anybody who is interested in private tuition, in booking the studio for your own work, or other facilities at Casa da Cabaza to organise your own workshop, please contact us and we would be delighted to assist.

This week is all about bread, baking and sourdough as well as enjoying, sharing and having fun. Every day after breakfast you'll prepare the dough for the next day. Vincent will explain about different flours, teach you how to make stuffed bread and will go through the do's and don'ts of bread baking. Sourdough needs a long time to rise and so theory will be discussed in the afternoons after which the dough for the next day will be prepared.
You'll enjoy dinners together, a wonderful environment and daily baking in a traditional wood fired oven. Vincent is a knowledgeable teacher with a passion for bread.
